Albert Blanton, 67, died Sunday, December 7, (1975) at his Denver
home after an illness of several months.

Born May 27, 1908, in Johnson County, he was the son of the late
Tom and Allie Fairchild Blanton.

He was a coal operator, a member of the Liberty Baptist Church and
the Masonic Lodge 381 F & AM.

Surviving are his wife, Florence Weddington Blanton; four sons,
Burnette of Lakeland, Fla., Kenneth of West Liberty, Bill of New
Carlisle, Ohio and Eddie of Denver; two daughters, Mrs. Janet
McCarty of Jeffersonville, Ohio and Mrs. Blanche Pelphrey of
Denver; three brothers, Bert of Jenkins, John Russell of Lakeland,
Fla., and Arnold of Peoria, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs.Gladys Salyer
of Hager Hill and Mrs. Betty Jean Reichardt of Mansfield, Ohio;
and 12 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, December 10, in
the First Baptist Church of Paintsville with Reverends Milam
officiating.

Burial will be in the Blanton Cemetery at Denver with Paintsville
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers are Jay Blanton, Mike Blanton, Bill Blanton,
Gordon McCarty, Eddie H. Pelphrey, Rick Pelphrey, Mike Bundren and
Tommy Hammond.

Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Blanton, Hoosie Van- House, Ellis
Rice, Herbert Pratt, Don Burke, Ross Lyons, and Hershel
Weddington.
