BERTHA FAYE BLANKENSHIP

Bertha Fay Blankenship, 80, of Thelma, died Wednesday, March 6, at
her residence.
Born Jan. 14, 1922, in Floyd County, a daughter of the late William
Everett and Susie Ann McCarty Estep, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Oscar Blankenship, in
1997.
Survivors include four sons, Vonalee See of Athem, Ariz., Sam
Blankenship of Prestonsburg, and Gene Blankenship and Richard
Blankenship, both of Thelma; three daughters, Sue Fairchild of
Thelma, Linda Collins of Columbus, Ohio, and Carol Sue Guffey of
Hendersonville, N.C.; five brothers, Earl Estep and Jackie Estep,
both of Thelma, Roger Estep of Columbus, Ohio, Gene Estep of Ohio,
and Orville Estep of Denver; 21 grandchildren; and 24 great
grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted by Revs. Louie Ferreri and Leroy
Kestner Saturday, March 9, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel,
Paintsville.
Burial was in Blankenship Family Cemetery, Thelma.
Jones-Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
