WILLIAM FRANKLIN BLAIR 1882-1961 William Franklin Blair, 78, died at his home at Barnetts at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, August 26, 1961 after an illness of six months. He was born November 27, 1882, in this county, the son of the late Britton F. and Lucilila Conley Blair. He had resided most of his life at Barnetts Creek where he engaged in farming. He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Norcie Ratliff Blair; three daughters, Ruie Jackson, Oil Springs; Flossie Blair, Barnetts Creek; Alma Spradlin, Denver; two sisters, Sarah Spradlin, Paintsville; Rose Ratliff, Barnetts Creek. Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m., Monday at the Green Valley School with Scott Castle and Charles Lemaster as officiating ministers. Burial was in the cemetery at Barnetts Creek.
