LOLA BELLE BLAIR

Graveside services were held Tuesday, January 28, 2:00 p.m. at the
Wells Family Cemetery in Paintsville, for Lola Belle Blair, 91, who
passed away Friday, January 24, 2003  at Ridgeway Nursing and
Rehabilitation Center in Owingsville, Ky.
    
Mrs. Blair was born March 9, 1911 in New Washington, Ind., daughter
of the late J. R. and Emma Bower Haycox.
  
Mrs. Blair was preceded in death by her first husband Dr. W. E. Akin,
Jr. and her second husband Dr. Everett D. Blair; one son, William
Allen Akin; three brothers and one sister.
  
Surviving is one son, Dr. James P. Akin (Barbara) of Alexandria, Va.;
one daughter, Alice Akin of Morehead, Ky.; one brother, Charles
Haycox of New Washington, Ind.; one grandson, Dr. Jonathan Akin of
Natchitoches, La.; two step-sons, Dr. Donald E. and Paul Wilson
Blair, both of Morehead, Ky.; three step-grandchildren. The graveside
service was officiated by Rev. John Dunstan.
  
Arrangements under the direction of Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home of
Morehead.
