LILLIAN BLAIR 1882-1960 Lillian Blair, Local Resident, Dies Nov. 5 Mrs. Lillian Blair, 78, local resident died at Lowmansville at 1:35 p.m., Saturday, November 5, following a brief illness. The daughter of the late William and Matilda Montgomery Howard, she was born in Magoffin County May 30, 1882, and had been a resident of this city for thirty-five years. Her husband, Flem Blair, preceded her in death January 2, 1938. She was a member of the Paintsville United Baptist Church. Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Flora Davis, Roanoke, Va.; Mrs. Ethel Melvin and Mrs. Lucy Hitchcock, both of this city; Mrs. Eva Blevins and Mrs. Hilda Stevens, Wayne, Michigan; Mrs. Mary Howard, Dayton, O. Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 p.m., Monday, November 7, at the Third Street Freewill Baptist Church with Claude Preston and Bruce Daniels as officiating ministers. Music was by the Paintsville Quartet. Pallbearers were Gerald Hitchcock, Bruce Blevins, David Estep, Junior Daniels, Jack Jones and George Coleman. Burial was in the family cemetery in this city.
