James S. Blair, 59, of Paintsville, died Tuesday Jun 20 2000 in Paul B.
Hall Medical Center in Paintsville.
  
Mr. Blair was born April 16, 1941, in Johnson County, a son of the late
Grant and Rushie Stambaugh Blair.
  
Surviving are his wife, Thelma Hackworth Blair; a son, James Dean Blair
of Beaufort, S.C.; two daughters, Darlene  Daniels of Thealka and
Rachel Dawn Mills of Paintsville; a sister, Avalee Kimbler of Columbus,
Ohio; and nine grandchildren.
  
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at  Phelps & Son Funeral Home
in Hager Hill by David Blackburn and Mark Ousley.
  
Burial will be in Sam Blair Cemetery in Denver.
