Several Months Illness
Fatal To Asa Resident

Mrs. Dora Blair, 58, died at her home at Asa, Sunday, June 3, at
11:55 a.m., after an illness of several months.

She was born in Johnson County, November 11, 1892, the daughter of
James and Frances Blanton, and was a resident of Asa most of her
life. Her husband, Verner Blair, survives her.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Virgil Blair, Asa;
two daughters, Mrs. Willie Weddington, New Carlysle, O., and Mrs.
Orville Willams, Tip City, Ohio; three brothers, John D. Blanton,
Owensboro, Kentucky, Jim Blanton and George B. Blanton, both of Oil
Springs; and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Arms, who lives in Michigan, and
Mrs. Bruce Litteral, Catlettsburg, Kentucky.

Funeral services were conducted at the home, Tuesday at 1:00 p.m.
with the Revs. Hargus Conley, Millard O'Bryan, James Yates, and
Ferman Blair officiating.

Burial was in the family cemetery at Asa, under the direction of the
Paintsville Funeral Home.
