ALBERT H. BLAIR
1876-1953
 
Albert H. Blair, 76, lifelong resident of Johnson County, died at
the home of his daughter Monday following an illness of three
days.

The son of Sam and Miranda Lemaster Blair, he was born in this
county October 26, 1876.  He was a resident of Barnetts Creek at
the time of his death.

He was preceded in death in 1940 by his wife, Julia Ann Blair.

Surviving are three sons, Curtis Blair, Urbana, Ohio, Kelly and
Kenneth Blair, both of Barnetts Creek; seven daughters, Mrs.
Sherman Ward, Newport News, Va., Mrs. Collie Ward, Mrs. Darol
Fowley, both of Wabash, Ind.; Mrs. Milford Pelphrey, Van Lear;
Mrs. Ellis Ratliff, Denver, Mrs. Edgar Ward, and Mrs. Herschell
Ratliff, both of Barnetts Creek.

Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Katheryn Blair, city,
Mrs. Fonzo Salyer, Barnetts Creek, and one brother Alamander
Blair, Barnetts Creek.

Funeral services were held Friday at the United Baptist Church at
Barnetts Creek with Revs. Lonza Reed, Ferman Blair, Millard
O'Bryan and Prater Blair officiating.

Burial was made in the family cemetery at Barnetts Creek under
the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home.
