WINCE BALDWIN 1875-1959 Wince Baldwin Of Oil Springs Dies Thursday Wince Baldwin, 84, retired farmer of Oil Springs, died at 7:20 a.m., Thursday, December 17, at his home after an illness of five months. He was a brother of McKinley Baldwin of this city. The son of Shelby and Hannah Davis Baldwin, he was born at Oil Springs January 17, 1875, and had been a lifelong resident of that community. He was a member of the United Baptist Church. His first marriage was to Rebecca Spradlin who preceded him in death. His second wife, Louise Caudill Baldwin, also preceded him in death. Survivors include besides his brother five sons, Ray Baldwin, Denver; Harvie, Curtis and Marion Baldwin all of Oil Springs; Clarence Baldwin, Lorain, Ohio; three daughters, Lucy Blair and Alma Spradlin, both of Denver; May Baldwin, Oil Springs; four other brothers, John, Dock, and Clint Baldwin all of Oil Springs; Luther Baldwin, Win; three sisters, Eunice Webb, Nora Webb, Susan Baldwin all of Oil Springs. Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 a.m., Saturday from the home with Lonza Reed, Thurman Ferguson and Vensil Pelphrey as officiating ministers. Burial was in the family cemetery.
