 WILLIAM BALDWIN
1904-1970

William Baldwin died at the age of 65 on Wednesday, February 11, at a
local hospital. He suffered a prolonged illness. Born in 1904 in
Johnson County, he was the son of the late Frederick and Francis
Sublett Baldwin.

The Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel was the site of the February 14
funeral. Fred Hawkins and Vern Conley conducted services for the
former Freewill Baptist.

Burial was at the Sublett Cemetery in Paintsville, under the
direction of the Jones- Preston Funeral Home.

Baldwin’s son from Paintsville, Charles Baldwin, survives. So do his
two daughters, Louise McCarty and Linda Joyce Baldwin, both from
Paintsville; six sisters, Mable Spears and Mary Bradley and Ledessia
Endicott of Paintsville, Enola Webb, West Van Lear, and Marion, Ohio,
residents Katherine West and Irene Zwolle. Four brothers remain:
Frederick and Buster Baldwin of Paintsville, Robert Baldwin, Carey,
Ohio, and George Baldwin, Brooksville, Ohio. Three grandchildren
live on as well.
