John H. Arrowood, 83, of Thelma, died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006 at
Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington.
  
Born June 23, 1923, in Portsmouth, Ohio, he was a son of the late John
H. and Mary Horton Arrowood. He was a truck driver with Ashland Oil and
a U. S. Army veteran.
  
Survivors include his wife, Jackie Witten Arrowood of Thelma; a son,
Gerald K. Arrowood of Thelma; two daughters, Betty Price of
Wittensville, and Sandra Arrowood of Thelma; seven grandchildren; and
10 great-grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were Saturday, Sept. 2, at Paintsville Church of
Christ with Kenneth Chambers officiating.
  
Burial was in Lakeview Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, under
direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
