ETTA ARROWOOD

Etta Arrowood, 95, of Meally, died Tuesday, November 4, 1997, at Mountain
Manor Nursing Home.
  
She was born June 14, 1902, in Greenup County, the daughter of Marion and
Elizabeth McKenzie.
  
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, George Melvin
Arrowood.
  
She is survived by four sons, Walter Arrowood and Douglas Arrowood, both
of Meally; Lawrence Arrowood of Westwood and Clarence Arrowood of
Wurtland; three daughters, Naomi Hager of Paintsville; Mary Preston of
Grayson; and Elsie Ward of Wurtland; 19 grandchildren, 29 great-
grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
  
Services were Novemeber 6 at Buffalo United Baptist Church with Claude
Mollett, W.L. Watlers, and Bobby Mollett officiating.
  
Burial was in the Arrowood Cemetery in Meally.
