Daniel Arms, 59, of W. Van Lear died December 20, 3:15 pm from a
heart attack

Born September 9, 1906 at Denver, he was the son of William and
Lizia Conley Arms.

An employee of the C & O Railroad, he was married to Minnie Arms,
who survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Howard Arms of Fort Eustis,
Virginia; Richard Arms of Vietnam and Roy Melvin Arms of the U.S.
Army, Germany; four daughters, Hellen Virginia Arms of W. Van
Lear; Dorothy Sue Hatton of Winchester, Martha Jane Caudill of
Warsaw, Indiana and Shirley Tackett also of Warsaw, Ind; and 11
grandchildren. Also a brother, Elbert Arms of Riceville, and a
sister, Sarah Jane Blair of W. Van Lear.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 25, 2:00p.m. At the
W. Van Lear Missionary Baptist church with Johnnie Sammons and
Scott Castle officiating.

Interment was held in the Evans cemetery, Hager Hill under the
direction of the Preston Funeral Home. The nephews served as
pallbearers.
