Amburgey Rites Held August 28
Donlson Amburgey, 47, died August 25, at his home at Meally
following a heart attack.
He was born March 3, 1917, in Floyd County, a son of Carlis and
Birdie Preston Amburgey.
Mr. Amburgey has been a resident of Meally for one year.
Survivors include four sons, Westly, Mike, Donna and Ronnie
Amburgey, Dayton, Ohio; one daughter, Catherine Amburgey, Dayton,
Ohio; two brothers, Fletcher Amburgey, Middlesboro; Elmer
Amburgey, Dayton, Ohio; three sisters, Shirley Adcock, Haines
City, Fla.; Helen Baker, Akron, Ohio; Carlos C. Evans, Davis
Branch.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, August 28, at the home of
Elzie Evans, on Davis Branch with the Rev. Glen Davis and the Rev.
John Ratliff as officiating ministers.
Members of the D.A.V. served as pallbearers.
Burial was in the Evans Cemetery at Hager Hill.
