LIZA JANE ALLEN

Funeral services were held Monday, May 19, 2 p.m. at the Preston
Funeral Home for Liza Jane Allen, 83, of Paintsville, Ky., who passed
away Friday, May 16 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland,
Ky.
  
Mrs. Allen was born May 18, 1925 in Magoffin County, Ky., daughter of
the late Tony and Ida Whitaker.
  
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sam Allen.
  
Surviving are one son, Jimmy Allen of Colorado; one daughter, Carol
Hager of Paintsville; one brother and one sister, Frank Whitaker and
Ruie Cole, both of Royalton, Ky.; and four grandchildren, nine great-
grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The service was
officiated by Chuck Slone, with burial in the Wells Cemetery at
Paintsville.
  
Arrangements under the direction of the Preston Funeral Home of
Paintsville.
