 MERVIN L. WILLIAMS
1908-1974

Mervin L Williams, a teacher in Johnson County for 46 years,
died Wednesday, September 11, 1974 at his Fuget home,
following a brief illness.

A Johnson County native, he was born August 13,1908, the son
of the late Leslie and Hattie Daniel Williams.

 He began his teaching career in 1926 and retired 1973.
He was a member of
the Flat Gap Lodge, No. 616, F& Am.

Surviving are his wife, Gladys Blair Williams of
Fayettville, N.C. ; twodaughters, Barbara A. Bentley,
residing at the KincheloeForce Base in Michigan and Hannah
Gerrichof Rochester, Indiana and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Williams were held Saturday,
September 14, in the Chapel of the Jones -Preston Funeral
Home with Reverends Bruce Daniel and Kelly Caudill
officiating.

Interment was in the Sheridian Estepp Cemetery at Fuget with
arrangements under the direction of the Jones-Preston
Funeral Home.
