CHARLES R. WELLS SR.
1928-1996
Charles R. Wells Sr., 67, of Van Lear, died Saturday,
November 9, 1996.
He was born on October 23 1929 in Johnson County, the son of
Joe D. Wells and Lillie M. Webb.
He is preceded in death by both his mother and father Joe D.
Wells and Lillie M. Webb, one daughter; Kathern Wells
Collins; and brothers Denver and Raymond Wells.
He is survived by three sons, Phillip Wells, Ray Collins, and
Charles Wells Jr., all of Van Lear; one daughter, Lisa Horn
of Louisa; and four brothers Joe Wells, Herbett Wells,
Everett Wells of Van Lear and George Wells of Definace Ohio,
and 6 grandchildren.
Services were held at Jones-Preston Funeral Home with Jerry
Scott officiating.
Burial was in the Webb Family Cemetery in Van Lear.
