CALVIN WEBB 1973 Calvin Webb, 66, of Van Lear died Monday, May 7 1973, in a local hospital following an extended illness. He was a retired coal miner and was affiliated with the Buffalo United Baptist Church. He was the son of Roe and Martha Goble Webb. Immediate survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Davis Webb, one son Francis Dean Webb of Prestonsburg, three daughters, Mrs. Betty Pettry of Springfield, Ohio, Mrs. Joyce Music of Dayton, Ohio, and Mrs. Sherry Wetzel of Van Lear; three brothers, Curtis Webb of Van Lear, Jake Webb of Meally; Otis Webb of Wabash, Indiana; and five sisters, Sarah Hyden, Angie Lynn, Elsie Ward, and Laura Phelps, all of Van Lear, and Fannie Webb of Wabash, Indiana. Funeral services were conducted by Nim Sturgill, Charles Price, Florida Lyons, and Elzie Banks on Thursday, May 10 at 10:30 a.m. in the Buffalo United Baptist Church. Burial followed in the Davis Cemetery at Paintsville, under direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home. PAINTSVILLE HERALD MAY 09 1973
