LIFIS VANHOOSE

Lifis (Jargo) Vanhoose, 70 of Denver, died Sunday, August 31, 1997,
at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center. 

He was born February 4 1927, in Johnson County, the son of
Earl and Ethel Taylor Vanhoose.

He was preceded in death by both his parents and one son,
Charles E. Vanhoose.

He is survived by his wife, Dicie (Ratliff) VanHoose three sons, Jr.,
Lee Vanhoose and David Vanhoose, both of Denver and Ricky Vanhoose
of Van Lear; one daughter, Ethel Leona Blair of Denver; three brothers,
Harry Vanhoose, James Vanhoose and Virgil Vanhoose, all of Thealka;
four sisters, Nellie Lions of Marion, Ohio; Betty Jeffery of St. Albans,
West Virginia; Christine Clark of Thealka; and Mary Maxine Blankenship
of Flat Top, West Virginia; eight grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.

Services were September 3 at Thealka Freewill Baptist Church with
Don Fraley and Ted Dawson officiating.

Burial was in the Topsy Ratliff Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Brian Vanhoose, Jason Vanhoose,  Johnny Blair,
David Michael Vanhoose, Chris Ratlif, and Mike Hitchcock.
