JAMES RANDALL VANHOOSE & BEVERLY HOWELL VANHOOSE James Randall Vanhoose, 60, and Beverly Howell Vanhoose, 53, of Thealka, died Monday [Jan.10 2000] at their home.
Mr. Vanhoose was born Sept. 30, 1939, in Johnson County, a son of the late Earl and Ethel Taylor Vanhoose.
He was a former coal miner. Mrs. Vanhoose was born March 20, 1946, in Portland, Ind., a daughter of the late Dallas James and Ruth Evelyn Slusser Howell.
They are survived by a son, Chadd Wesley Vanhoose of Thealka.
Mr. Vanhoose is also survived by two brothers, Harry Vanhoose and Virgil Vanhoose, both of Paintsville; and four sisters, Christine Clark of Paintsville, Nellie Lyons of Marion, Ohio, Betty Jeffery of St. Albans, W.Va., and Mary Maxine Blankenship of Beckley, W.Va. Mrs. Vanhoose is also survived by a son, Tom Timothy Clark of Prestonsburg; and two brothers, Franklin Howell of St. Johns, Ohio, and Herbert Howell of Portland.
A joint funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Jones-Preston Funeral Home in Paintsville.
Burial will be in Vanhoose family cemetery in Thealka.
Friends may call today and until time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
