BOBBIE GENE VANHOOSE
1930-2000
Retired merchant Bobbie Gene VanHoose, 69, died Saturday,
January 15, 2000, at his Westview Manor residence.
Mr. VanHoose was born June 30, 1930, in Johnson County, to the
late Hershel and Blanche Daniel VanHoose.
He was self- employed, a member of the Freewill Baptist Church
and a veteran of the Navy.
Surviving are his wife, Jo Ann Conley VanHoose; one son, Bobby
Keith VanHoose of Paintsville; three brothers, Ken VanHoose of
Staffordsville, David VanHoose of Nippa and M.J. VanHoose of
Michigan; four sisters, Pearline Stambaugh of Stambaugh, JoAnn
Burchett of Sitka, Bonita Daniels of East Point and Clotine
Conley of Somerset; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 18, at Tom's Creek
Freewill Baptist Church, with Harold Conley, Donnie Patrick
and E.N. VanHoose officiating.
Burial was in VanHoose Family Cemetery at Nippa, with Preston
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
