BLANCHE VANHOOSE
1909-1991
  
Funeral services were held Thursday, October 17, for Blanche
VanHoose, 82.
   
Mrs. VanHoose was born September 4, 1909 in Johnson County,
the daughter of Julius Daniel and Bessie VanHoose.
   
She was preceded in death by one son, Paul VanHoose, in World
War II.
  
Surviving are her husband, Hershel VanHoose; four sons, Bobby
VanHoose of Paintsville, David VanHoose of Nippa, M.J.
VanHoose of Michigan and Charles VanHoose of Catlettsburg;
four daughters, Pearlene Stambaugh of Stambaugh, Bonita Daniel
of East Point, Joan Burchett of Sitka and Clotene Conley of
Somerset; two sisters, Gladys North of Morehead and Faye
Rickman of Hager Hill; and 15 grandchildren and eight great-
grandchildren.
  
Officiating at services in Tom's Creek Freewill Baptist Church
were Dick VanHoose and Paul Wayne Browning.
  
Burial was in the family cemetery, with Jones-Preston Funeral
Home in charge of arrangements.
