William H. "Willie" Tackett, 77, died January 8 1985, at his Swamp
Branch home.
  
Mr. Tackett was born April 18, 1907, in Johnson County, the son of
Britton Tackett.
  
His wife, Maudie Tackett, preceded him in death July 23, 1983.
  
Surviving are three sons, Raymond, Harold and Leroy Tackett, all of
Swamp Branch; and three daughters, Veria Mae Bowling of Owensboro,
Ruth Ann Ward of Columbus, OH, and Grace Fisher of Billings, MT.
  
Funeral services were held January 11 in Jones-Preston Funeral Home
Chapel with Don Fraley officiating.
  
Burial was in Preston Cemetery at Thelma.
