CATHERINE STRICKLIN 81-Year-Old Resident Dies Saturday, Jan. 21 Mrs. Catherine Stricklin, 81, wife of Henry Stricklin, Sr., died at her home on Church Street about 12:10 p.m., Saturday, January 21, following an extended illness. A native of this county Mrs. Stricklin was born August 8, 1868, the daughter of John H. and Florence Gray Morton McFaddin.  All of her life was spent in this city where she was a devoted member of the Freewill Baptist Church.  Mrs. Stricklin was a loyal wife and a kind and considerate mother. During her life she performed innumerable acts of kindness which will always endear her to her many friends. Surviving besides her husband are four children, two daughters, Mrs. Sola Mahan, Mansfield, Ohio, Mrs. Garnett Flint, City; two sons, Frank, Mansfield, Ohio, Henry, Jr., city. Surviving also are the following brothers and sisters;  Claude McFaddin, Tomahawk; Ed Ross and Mrs. Mary-------------- (rest of obit is missing) Paintsville Herald Thursday January 26 ,1950
