Alvin Jay Stambaugh, 60, of Stambaugh, died Monday Dec.4 2000
in King's Daughters Medical Center.
  
Mr. Stambaugh was born May 5, 1940, in Johnson County, a son
of the late Hobert and Alice Burchett Stambaugh.
  
He was a heavy equipment operator.
  
Surviving are his wife, Benita Stambaugh; a son, A.J.
Stambaugh of Stambaugh; a daughter, Ashley Dawn Stambaugh of
Stambaugh; a brother, William Stambaugh of Stambaugh; and a
sister, Janice Crigger of North Carolina.
  
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Jones-Preston
Funeral Home in Paintsville by Benny Blankenship.
  
Burial will be in Stambaugh Cemetery.
