Life-Long Resident of Flat Gap
Buried in Family Cemetery

Ashley Ward Sagraves, 54, died at his home at Flat Gap Saturday
following an illness of two months.

Born November 29, 1898, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William
Sagraves.

He was a life-long resident of Flat Gap, and a farmer by
occupation. Surviving are his widow, Addie Evans Sagraves, five
sons, Elmo Sagraves, Flat Gap, Woodrow Sagraves, Volga, Elsie
Sagraves, U.S.Army, Ellis and Dallas Sagraves, Flat Gap; one
daughter, Deloris Sagraves, at home, and five grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers, Crate Sagraves, Louisville,
Donnie Sagraves, Flat Gap, and one sister Mrs. Hendrix Kelly, Flat
Gap.

Funeral services were held at the home Monday at 2:00 p.m. with
the Rev. E. Ferguson and Rev. E. Colliar officiating.

Burial was made in the family cemetery under the direction of the
Preston Funeral Home.
