WILLIAM E. ROWLAND
1911-1992
William E. Rowland, 80, died Friday, July 31 1992 in Paul B.
Hall Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Rowland was born August 16, 1911 in Johnson County, the
son of the late Johnnie and Sarah Curtis Rowland .
He was a
construction workerand a member of the United Baptist
Church.
Surving are his wife, Flora Stapleton Rowland; three sons,
Arthur and Michael Rowland, both of Oklahoma, and William
Rowland of Texas; one daughter, Sarah Stapleton of Sitka;
four stepsons, Harold Litteral of Volga, Tommy Litteral of
Paintsville, James Litteral of Texas and Billy Litteral of
Mexico; three stepdaughters, Joyce Meeks and Barbara Laney,
both of Paintsville and Marsha Litteral of Hager Hill; one
brother, Arthur Rowland of Volga; six half brothers, Bill
Rowland of Flat Gap, Mitchell Rowland of Fairborne Ohio, Joe
Rowland of Evon, Ohio, Charles Rowland of Beaver Creek, Ohio,
Robert Rowland of Barnetts Creek and Jesse Rowland of
Dayton, Ohio; and 20 grandchildren, one great grandchild,one
great great grandchild, five step-grandchildren and one
step -great -grandchild.
Funeral services were held Monday , August 3 in Bryan
Fraley& Son Funeral Home, with Elder Eual McKenzie
officiating .
Burial was in Sheridan Estepp Cemetery at Volga.
