EXER D. ROTHWELL
1888-1960
Mrs. Exer D. Rothwell, 72, died of a heart attack in a local
hospital at 6:15 p.m., Saturday, November 19, after an illness of
six days.
The daughter of Sam and Betty Spencer Stambaugh, she was born June
25, 1888, at Stambaugh and had been a lifelong resident of that
community. She was a member of the United Baptist Church and
retired postmaster of the Stambaugh post office.
Her husband, Kelly Rothwell, preceded her in death October 19 of
this year.
Survivors include a son, Kelly Rothwell, Jr., Ashland; two
brothers, Louis Stambaugh, Stambaugh, Ky.; Fred Stambaugh,
Wittensville; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday from the
Locust Grove United Baptist Church at Stambaugh with O. I.
Williams, Foster Rigsby and L. T. Preston as officiating
ministers.
Burial was in the Stambaugh Cemetery at Stambaugh.
