EDGEL LANGLEY ROSS

Edgel Langley Ross, 78, of Red Bush, died Friday Aug.24 2001 at his
home.
  
Mr. Ross was born March 4, 1923, in Johnson County, a son of the
late Walter A. Sr. and Etta Marie Lyon Ross.
  
His wife, Herma Lee Murray Ross, died in 1974.
  
He was a contractor and an Army veteran.
  
Surviving are two stepdaughters, Gennie Ripley of Maryland and
Lorie White of Charleston, S.C.; two brothers, James M. Ross of
Corning, Ohio, and Garland Ross of Columbus, Ohio; a sister, Carrie
Davis of Lima, Ohio; and three stepgrandchildren.
  
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Jones-Preston Funeral Home
in Paintsville by Tim Salyers.
  
Burial was in the Murray family cemetery at Sitka.
