James H. Reed, 70, of Oil Springs, died Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at
his residence.
  
Born June 7, 1936, he was a son of the late James and Anna Oakley
Baldwin Reed. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator in
site preparation.
  
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Lemaster Reed of Oil Springs;
two daughters, Sandra Pelphrey of Hager Hill and Betty Ethel Reed
of Williamsport; two step- daughters, Susan Conley of
Staffordsville and Jackie Mandola of Thelma; three step- sons,
Ronald Tackett of Oil Springs, Larry Conley of Van Lear and Lewis
Jr. Wright of Boons Camp; a brother, Norman H. Reed of Dayton,
Ohio; three sisters, Janet Barker of Van Lear, Betty Estep of
Pickerington, Ohio and Joann VanHoose of Delaware, Ohio; three
grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and two step-great-
grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were Saturday, May 5, at Paintsville Funeral Home
Chapel, Paintsville, with Elders Jerry Colvin and James R. Blair
officiating.
  
Burial was in Baldwin Cemetery, Oil Springs, under direction of
Paintsville Funeral Home.
