SAM RAMEY
1924-2000
Retired miner Sam Ramey, 75, died Sunday, September 10, 2000,
at his Daniels Creek residence.
Mr. Ramey was born December 6, 1924, in Floyd County, to the
late Ervin and Merkie McKenzie Ramey.
Surviving are three sons, Ronald Ramey and Ervin Lee Ramey of
Van Lear, and Fred Ramey of El Paso, Texas; one daughter,
Teresa Preston of Paintsville; ten grandchildren and seven
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for today, Wednesday,
September 13, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Preston Funeral
Home with Father Terrence Hoppenjans officiating.
Burial will follow in the Webb-Wells Cemetery at Van Lear.
