ROBIE FRANKLIN RAMEY
Robie Franklin Ramey, 65, resident of Volga, passed away December
4, 1960, at 7:00 p.m. in the Veterans Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio,
after a six-month illness.
He was born September 26, 1895, in Johnson County and had been a
resident of this county all his life.
He was the son of Jeff Ramey and Louise Brown.
Mr. Ramey, a farmer, was married in 1919 to Carrie Lemaster Ramey,
who survives.
Surviving besides his wife are six sons: Elwood Ramey, Flat Gap;
Elzie Ramey, Ashley, O.; Kibs Ramey, Fort Meade, Md.; Malburn
Ramey, Flat Gap; Hobert Ramey, Sunbury, Ohio, and John Fred Ramey,
Columbus, Ohio. Also, the surviving brothers and sisters, Arthur
Ramey and Ervin Ramey, Prestonsburg; Norma Blair, Volga; Plura
Crislip, Milford Center, Ohio; Rena Fairchilds, Chillicothe, Ohio;
Ethel McKenzie, Springfield, O., and Lydia Stapleton, Volga.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 8,
1960, at the Cannon Chapel with burial in the family cemetery at
Volga.
