ULYSSES G. PICKLESIMER


Ulysses G. Picklesimer, 77, prominent farmer and citizen of Sitka,
died in King's Daughters' Hospital at Ashland at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday
after a brief illness.

He had been residing for the past two months with a daughter, Mrs.
Everett L. Rose, 3410 Blackburn Avenue, Ashland.

Mr. Picklesimer was born in Johnson County, May 15, 1869, a son of
Phillip and Eliza Salyer Picklesimer, both natives of Kentucky. He
was a member of the Methodist Church of Volga.

The body was removed to the Lazear Funeral Home and will be taken to
the daughter's residence at 4 p.m. Thursday.

The funeral party will leave Ashland at 8:30a.m. Friday for Cannon
Chapel at Volga, Johnson County, where funeral services will be
conducted at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Oren Simmerman pastor, of the
South Ashland Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be made in
the family cemetery at Volga.

Surviving are two sons, Leslie Picklesimer, Detroit, Mich., Hobart
Picklesimer, Berea, Ky., one daughter, Mrs. Rose, Ashland, and a
brother, R. W. Picklesimer, Volga and one granddaughter, Miss Ann
Rose, Ashland.
