THOMAS J. PERKY
Meally Resident Dies December 18
Services were held today at 2 p.m. for Thomas J. Perky, 83, a Meally resident who died Monday, December 18, in a local hospital after a brief illness.
Born October 24, 1884 in Johnson County, Mr. Perky was a former miner.
His wife, Janey, preceded him in death August 27, 1965.
He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving sons include Que Perky of Chicago, Thomas J. Perky, Jr., of Wayne, Michigan, and Billy Perky of Madison Heights, Michigan.
Two daughters also survive; Mrs. Thelma Aronson of Detroit, and Mrs. Beatrice MuPeck of Virgie.
Services were held in the chapel of the Paintsville Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Wednesday, with Rev. James Sturgill officiating.
Burial followed in the family cemetery at Whitehouse.
The Paintsville Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
