ALMA NICKELL 1881-1959 Mrs. Alma Nickell, 77, wife of Albert Nickell of Winifred, died at her home at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 5, of a stroke following an illness of two days. The daughter of Steven and Angeline Williams Ross, she was born at Flat Gap July 31, 1881. She had been a resident of Winifred for a number of years and was a member of the United Baptist Church. A son, Earl Nickell, preceded her in death in 1940. Surviving besides her husband are four sons, Warner Nickell, Dayton, Ohio; Eulis Nickell and Ross Nickell, both of Sitka; Wendell Nickell, Winifred; one daughter, Mrs. Viola Mae Hil, Dayton, Ohio; one brother Powell Ross, Orofina, Idaho; one sister, Virgie Kittrell, Clarkston, Washington; three grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, from the Lower Franks Creek United Baptist Church with Lonza Reed, O. I. Williams, F. F. Rigsby and Cully Sparks.
