He departed this life September 17, 1959, being 76 years old. Several years ago he met and was married to Myrtie Moore and to this union were born two sons. His first wife and both sons preceded him in death. He was later married to Alma Ross and to this union were born five sons and one daughter. They are Ross Nickells of Idaho; Warner Nickells, Dayton, Ohio; Eulas Nickells, Sitka; Wendell Nickells, Winifred. Earl Nickells, who preceded him in death. One daughter, Mrs. Viola Mae Hill, Dayton, Ohio. Albert, as he was better known, was one of Johnson County's most honest and prosperous citizens. He was a hard worker and loved and respected his home and famiy. He had many friends in the county in which he lived. To know him was to love him and respect him as a friend and a neighbor. During his last days upon this earth, he suffered much pain and agony. His illness surely was the purpose of God although it brought his family and friends many tears and heartaches. But the joy of his last few hours will be pleasant memories for years to come because he left bright hopes of a better home to which he was going, where the pain and suffering of this life will be no more. He leaves to mourn this loss, his immediate family, three grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. We feel that their loss is Heaven's gain. In Memoriam "He has gone from round the fireside, We will see him there no more. He's gone home to live with Jesus, On that bright eternal shore. Children, put your trust in Jesus, Walk the straight and narrow way, Then when life down here is over, You'll go home with Him to stay. There you'll live up there forever, Walk upon the streets of gold, Living there in spirit." PAINTSVILLE HERALD WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 21, 1959
