WILLIE MOLLETT
1971
Willie Mollette, 63, of Boonscamp, died at 5:30 pm Tuesday
afternoon at Butler, Ohio from injuries sustained in an
automobile accident the same day. Mollette was disabled, and
a member of the United Baptist Church.
He was the son of the late John C. and Mary Lou Dawson
Mollette of Boonscamp. Immediate survivors are his wife, Elva
Butcher Mollette, three sons at home, Rodrick Mollette, James
Mollette, and Ronald Mollette and one daughter at home, Conda
Lee Mollette.
Also surviving were his sons, Claude Mollette
of Davisport, and his daughters Betty Spears of Butler, Ohio,
Wanda Daniels of Tomahawk, Georgie Freeman of Columbus, Ohio,
Susan Housinger of Tomahawk, and Teresa Daniels of Tomahawk.
Other survivors include his brothers Richard Mollette of
Boonscamp, Thomas Mollette of Wabash, Indiana, Worthy
Mollette of Boonscamp, George Mollette of Elizabethtown, and
his sisters Lissie DeLong of Louisa, and Swannie Penix of
Meally, along with 25 grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted by Nim Sturgill, Glenn
Arrowood, and Earl Muncy at 11:00 am Saturday September 25
under direction of the Preston Funeral Home with burial in
the Butcher Cemetery at Boonscamp.

accident along with his son, Larry Dale Mollette, aged 22
Willie's brother George and sister Lissie were his half-siblings from his father's first
marriage. Willie had two other half-siblings that predeceased him; Mary Alice and Joseph.
Willie was born about 1907 and the first child for John C. Mollett and Mary
Lou Dawson Mollett. Willie's paternal grandparents were William E. Mollett and
Elizabeth Branham Mollett.)
