Funeral services were held September 6 1982 in Staffordsville
Freewill Baptist Church. for Richard Allen Messer, 16.
   
Mr. Messer died September 3 at his Staffordsville home.
He was born January 6 1966, in Ohio.
   
Surviving are his parents Hillard Messer and June McCarty; his
wife Linda Ratliff Messer; four brothers, Jackie McCarty,
Staffordsville George Tackett, Columbus Ga.,Steve Tackett,
South Charleston,Ohio; and Robert Tackett, Springfield, Ohio;
and three sisters, Doris Haney and Clarice Ayers, Paintsville,
and Iulanda Holbrook, Staffordsville.
  
John Frank Ratliff officiated at services with burial following 
in the Staffordsville Church Cemetery. 
  
Jones-Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
