Linda M. Blanton May, 62, of Leander, died Sunday, Sept. 27, at
Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg.
  
Born March 21, 1947, in Floyd County, she was the daughter of the
late Willie Edward and Geraldine Elizabeth Conley Blanton. She was a
homemaker.
  
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Edward May; two
daughters, Brenda Kay May and Lisa Ann May; and a brother, Billy Ray
Blanton.
  
Survivors include two sons, Paul David May and Darrell May, both of
Leander; three daughters, Dena May of Auxier, and Judy Carol May and
Teresa Lynn May, both of Leander; a brother, Paul Jay Blanton of
Floyd County; two sisters, Carolyn Sue Ward of Leander and Paula K.
Compton of Paintsville; and seven grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were Thursday, Oct. 1, at New Bethel Freewill
Baptist Church, Riceville, with Joe Scott and Donald Ray Caudill
officiating.
  
Burial was in May Family Cemetery, Leander, under direction of Jones-
Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
