GAIL EDWARD MAY
1919-1983

Mr. May was 63, and died June 21, 1983 at his Leander home.

He was born October 15, 1919, in Johnson County, a son of the late
Willie and Leona Caudill May.

He was a coal miner and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Lucille Hitchcock May; two sons, Paul May,
Leander and Jack May, Fuget; two daughters, Janet Horne, Paintsville
and Patsy Butcher, Van Lear; a brother, Homer May, Pierceton, Ind;
four sisters, Mrs Geneva Woods, Columbus, Ohio, Mrs Jeanette Collins
and Mrs Rhoda August, Findley, Ohio, and Mrs Dessie Spencer, East
Point; and 16 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held June 23 in Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel
with Revs. Donald Ray Caudill and Benny Taylor officiating.

Burial was in the family cemetery at Leander.
