JOE LONG 1935-2000 Joe Long, 65, of Oil Springs, died Sunday Dec.10 2000 at his home. Mr. Long was born Feb. 9, 1935, in Oil Springs, a son of the late Lundy and Tennie Spradlin Long. He was a retired heavy equipment operator with Ashland Oil. His wife, Brenda Long, preceded him in death. Surviving are a son, Scott Long of Oil Springs; a daughter, Debbie Preston of Oil Springs; and three sisters, June Blevins and Agnes Colvin, both of Louisville and Ruth Conley of Oil Springs. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Paintsville Funeral Home by the Rev Joe Sublett. Burial will be in Litteral Cemetery in Oil Springs. Friends may call from 2 to 9 tonight and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
