DIES FEBRUARY 25

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February
27, at Odds, Ky., for Mrs. Sophia LeMaster, 54, who died
Sunday, February 25 in a local hospital after a 3-year
illness of heart trouble.

She was born in Floyd County, Kentucky, on March 7, 1897, the
daughter of Alex and Polly Wells. For the past 7 years she
had been a resident of Lowmansville, where she was affiliated
with the Methodist Church.

Her husband H. C. LeMaster, whom she married on January 7,
1944 in Paintsville, survives her.

She is also survived by a son, Eugene Wells, Van Lear, Ky.,
one sister, Maggie Clarke, Odds, Ky., and four brothers: Wash
Wells, Lowmansville; Ben Wells, Odds; Sherman Wells, Urbana,
Ohio; and Richard M. Wells, Auxier, Kentucky.

Services were conducted by Rev. R. Lemaster.

Burial was in the Odds Cemetery under the direction of the
Preston Funeral Home.
