LOCKIE KAZEE
1889-1966
Lockie Kazee, age 77, died Wednesday, October 5, 5:30 p.m. at a local
hospital after an extended illness.
Born February 25, 1889 in Johnson County, she was the daughter of
Florence Wittten and Julis Burchett.
She had been a resident of Stambaugh and a member of the Church of
Christ.
Her husband, Charles Kazee, survives. They had been married 54 years.
Survivors include a son Clyde of Louisa; a daughter, Mrs. Herman Miller
of Glen Burnie, Maryland; three sisters: Mrs. Hester Castle of Nippa, and
Mrs. Alice Stambaugh and Mrs. Artie Short of Stambaugh, one half-brother,
Eddie Burchett, also of Stambaugh, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 8, at 1 p.m. at the
Stambaugh Church of Christ with Frank Webb and Bennie Blankenship
officiating.
Burial took place in the Hobart Stambaugh Cemetery at Stambaugh under
direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home.
