ROBERT P. JOHNSON
Funeral Rites at Home For Well-Known Man
Robert P. Johnson, 74, well known Johnson man, died suddenly at his home in Denver at 6:45 p. m., December 6, 1950 as a result of a heart attack.
Born September 19, 1876, in Johnson County, he was the son of William H. and Arminta Sowards Johnson.
He was a farmer and had been a resident of Denver all his life. He had been married to his wife, Jennettia Evans Johnson, who survives him, for the past 54 years.
Surviving besides his wife are one son and one daughter: Farra Johnson, city; Mrs. Chalmer Spradlin, West Van Lear.
Surviving brothers and sisters are Mrs. Albert Horn and Mrs. Clint Rice of Staffordsville, and Mason Johnson, Collista.
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Funeral rites were held at 10:00 a. m., December 9, at his home in Denver with the Revs Charlie Lemaster and Millard O'Bryan officiating. Music was furnished by the Denver Choir.
Burial was made in the family cemetery at Denver under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home.
