CLISTA HARRIS 1876-1960 Mrs. Clista Harris, 84, died at 4:30 December 24 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Roy Wheeler, Winifred. She had been ill for the past ten months. The daughter of the late James and Gemia Pack Stone, she was born March 6, 1876, and had been a lifelong resident of Winifred, where she was a beloved and respected member of that community. She was a member of the United Baptist Church. She was married August 5, 1896, to Maywood Harris, who preceded her in death September 30, 1949. Survivors also include four sons, Jim, Woodrow and Herbert Harris, all of Winifred; Charley Harris, Circleville, O.; six other daughters, Hettie Sparks, Sunbury, Ohio; Mrs. Oscar Castle and Mrs. Zona Craft, both of Winifred; Mrs. Perla Lyons, Flat Gap; Mrs. Lula Hamilton, Pataskala, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Reneda Ramey, Lonfred; Mrs. Reneda Ramey, London, Ohio; Mrs. Catherine Harris, Springfield, Ohio; and one brother, Jasper Slone, Winifred, Ky. Also surviving are 45 grandchildren, 70 great- grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 27, from the Franks Creek United Baptist Church with O. I. Williams and Lonza Reed as officiating ministers.
