Tomahawk Resident In Fatal Accident
Lewis Hall, 73, of Tomahawk was fatally injured in an
automobile collision near LaGrange, Ky., December 21 1952.
He was enroute to Louisville when the accident occurred. A
native of Floyd County, he had lived at Tomahawk for thirty
years.
He was married in 1900 to Mary Bailey, who survives him.
One daughter, Dora, preceded him in death.
Surviving besides his wife, Mary Bailey Hall are eight
children; six daughters, Mrs. Nancy Jane Daniel, Dayton,
Ohio, Mrs. Joe Lewis, Boons Camp, Mrs. Myrtle Gpuker,
Louisville, Mrs. Lizzie Crum, Detroit, Michigan, Mrs. Milt
Arthur, Davisport, Mrs. Everett Wallen, Tomahawk, two sons;
Charlie J. and Elza Hall, both of Tomahawk.
Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Sturgill, Boons Camp,
and 27 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted, December 24, at 2:00 p.m. at
the Phillip Cove Freewill Church by the Revs. Fred Rowland
and Melvin Sisco.
Burial was in the Butcher cemetery near Yellowstone Gap under
the direction of the Preston Funeral Home.
