JOSEPHINE ARMINTA HAGER 1867-1950 Mrs. Josephine Arminta Hager, 83, died at her home at East Point at 2:45 a.m., Thursday, May 11, 1950 after an illness of several months.
She was born in Floyd County April 1, 1867, the daughter of the late Charles and Lona Stratton Elkins.
A beloved resident of this community where she spent her entire life, her death was a shock to her many friends.
Her husband, Calvin Hager, preceded her in death eighteen years ago.
She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Surviving are six children; one daughter, Mrs. Oma, Elizabeth Badgett, Rush; five sons, Malcolm, Chauncey, Harry and Charles of East Point, John, Prestonsburg. Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Greer, East Point.
Funeral services were conducted at the home at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 13, by Rev. Moses Kitchen.
Burial was in the family cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home.
