For Sam Grim, 87

Sam Grim, 87, retired farmer and prominent citizen of Stambaugh,
died at his home Sunday, January 30, 1949 following an extended
illness.

Mr. Grim, the son of the late Jeff and Sarah Ann Stambaugh, was
born in this county and was a lifelong resident of the Stambaugh
community.

He is survived by his wife, Emma, and four children by a former
marriage; Mrs. Sarah Grim, Nippa, Mrs. Fanny Williams, Sitka, and
Faris and Jeff both of Stambaugh.  Surviving also are two sisters,
Mrs. Katherine Castle of Stone, Ky., Mrs. Elizabeth Castle of Nippa
and one-half brother, Proctor, of Lowmansville.

Funeral services were held at the Beechgrove Baptist Church Tuesday
February 1, by Revs. F. F. Riggsby and C. J. Sparks.

Burial was in the Stambaugh Cemetery under the direction of the
Jones Funeral Home.
