Jack Russell Gibbins Sr., 60, died April 11 1997 at his
Ashland residence.
  
Mr. Gibbins was born March 14,1937, in Knott County, to
the late Bart Welters Gibbins and Sarah Elizabeth Vicory
Gibbins.
  
He was a retired fiberglass technician.
  
He was preceded in death by one son, Arthur David
Gibbins; and one daughter, Catherine Sue Gibbins.
  
Surviving are his wife, Lea. R. Gibbins of Ashland; six
sons; Charles Russell Gibbins, Jack Russell Gibbins Jr.,
and B. J. Senters, all of Ashland, Christopher Gibbins of
Fisty and Robert Gene Mullins and James Todd Colvin, both
of Lexington; three daughters, Rita Gale Hunn of
Cincinnati, Ohio, Dora Mae Ford of Ashland and Kimberly
Dawn Boggess of Ironton, Ohio; one sister, Evelyn Stanley
of Ligonier, Indiana; and 25 grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were held, April 14, Steen Funeral Home
Chapel in Cannonsburg with Chaplain Joe Elam officiating.
  
Burial was in Ealey Cemetery at Staffordsville, with
Paintsville Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
