ALKA FANNIN
Alka Fannin, 82 of Van Lear, died May 23 at the River Manor Nursing Home in Prestonsburg.
Born in Johnson County February 18, 1903, she was the daughter of the late Proctor and Clarinda Hall Webb and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include a husband, Estill Fannin, and a daughter Yvonne Spurgeon of Whitehouse, TN.
Also surviving are three brothers, Dave Webb, of Williamsport, John Webb of Florence and Charles Webb of Columbus, OH; and two sisters, Ruth Handy, of Van Lear, and Lucillie Helton of Cincinnati, OH.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 25 at the chapel of the Jones-Preston Home with Dave Flannery officiating.
Burial followed in the family cemetery at Van Lear.
